Asia Pacific Occupational Safety & Health Organization
APOSHO, the acronym for the Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization, is an international body composed of non-profit professional organizations devoted to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases in the Asia-Pacific region. The first Conference and Annual Meeting took place in Singapore in August 1985. The conference and annual meeting is held by turns on a rotating basis by each organizations and will be held in Thailand in 2024

Since joining APOSHO in 1986, this year’s conference will be the 3rd time that it has been hosted by SHAWPAT.
In previous conferences, they have demonstrated that the event is always educational, informative, and highly inspiring. Couple this with an outstanding warm welcome from the Thai people, you can guarantee that this year’s APOSHO 38 will again be a safety conference of a very high standard.
The Board of APOSHO encourages you and your colleagues to travel to Bangkok and participate in this year’s conference.
The conference will bring together safety professionals from all over the globe, with a number of them making presentations that will be both challenging and exciting. Here in APOSHO 38, you have the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances.
The format of the conference will have something for everybody, from outstanding keynote presentations, individual papers, and highly interactive panel sessions.
The planning has been underway for a long-time and coupled with SHAWPAT’s experience at hosting safety conferences, you know that it is going to be an experience that should not be missed.

Dear APOSHO Members, Delegates, OSH Practitioners, and Other Associates,
On behalf of SHAWPAT, which is acronym for Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association (Thailand) Under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Patronage), I am so delighted to welcome you all to APOSHO 38 which will take place in Thailand this year.
This coming event of 38th Annual General Meeting and Conference will be at the Royal River Hotel in Bangkok between 14th and 17th November with the theme of “Towards the Sustainability of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing”. We are very excited to see many presentations and special panel discussions by a number of distinguished Keynote Speakers, famous hero rescuer, leading executives, well respected academics, senior specialists, as well as practitioners and students in various areas of occupational health and safety. They will share their knowledge and experiences, as well as many new ideas, advanced technologies, and innovation, to help and inspire us to develop safety culture and sustainability of safety, health and wellbeing for our workplaces and societies.
In addition to those technical aspects of this coming event, you are also invited to join our Gala Dinner with APOSHO family and friends in a night of relaxation with memorable touch of music, dancing, and Thai Traditional shows. Furthermore, on the 15th November you will have an opportunity to experience a joyful and happy night of Thai celebration along rivers and exotic places in Bangkok with our traditional and famous “Loy Kratong Festival”.
