Col. Bhak Loharjun (MD)

Col. Bhak Loharjun is presently the Chief Medical Officer at Special Warfare Command, Lopburi Province, and former Commander of the 3rd Guard Battalion, Surathampithak Camp, Nakorn Rachasima Province. He was given a nickname of “The Strongest Doctor on Earth” by successfully completing several military courses, and in 2018 from helping the famous “Tham Luang Cave Search and Rescue Operation”.
As a result, he became well known at the public level, including a resolution from the Medical Council Committee elevating him to be "Model Doctor".
Bhak Loharjun graduated from the Phramongkutklao Medical College, Class 23. After that, he completed 6 other special courses as follows:
- Airlift Course (Air Force Academy), Class 229, Royal Thai Army.
- Assault Course or Saber-toothed Tiger (General Class), S.R. School, Class 86, Royal Thai Army.
- Underwater Assault Disruptor Course (SEALs),Class 34, Royal Thai Navy
- Recon Course,Class 38, Royal Thai Navy
- Special Operations Course, Class 6 (Commando Class 17 + PJ Class 19), Royal Thai Air Force.
- Chief of Staff of the Army, No. 91, Royal Thai Army.
In 2004, he became a doctor for the Thai-Iraqi Force 976, 2nd shift. In 2006, he served as a doctor for the Peace Corps in the 3 southern border provinces. In 2018, he participated in Search and rescue operations at Tham Luang Cave in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, where everyone was able to be safely transported out. When the mission was completed, Bhak Loharjun was the last person to dive out. His leadership has been considered as “task-oriented leadership” which is the key process to drive all personnels to achieve their desired goals. His leadership is also “relationship oriented” as he always allows for open discussion and suggestion from all of his team.
Bhak Loharjun also received many Royal Decorations, namely:
- 2022 – Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand,2nd Class, Tweetiya decoration of the Crown of Thailand (T.M.)
- 2016 – Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant,3rd Class, Tritaphorn of the White Elephant (T.C.)
- 2015 – Border Service Medal(Ch.D.)
