Prof. Dr. Sunisa Chaiklieng, PhD, MOSH, MSc, BSc
Dr. Chaiklieng is a Professor of Occupational Health and Safety and Chair of the MSc program in Occupational Health and Safety at Khon Kaen University (KKU) in Thailand. With over 20 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health, she is an expert in the risk assessment of Occupational Toxicology and Ergonomics. She obtained her BSc and MSc from Mahidol University in Thailand, a MOSH from ILO/Turin University, Italy, and a PhD from Germany.
Dr. Chaiklieng joined KKU as the head of the Department of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health, Faculty of Public Health in Thailand, where she actively leads the Occupational Health and Safety program and engages in research and training initiatives. She has gained recognition through several awards for outstanding achievements in Occupational Health and Safety from international organizations. Notable awards include the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX) fellowship award in 2012 and IUTOX Senior fellowship award in 2022, the Society of Toxicology (SOT) award of the Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program in 2015, the ILO fellowship award in 2022, and the MEDICHEM (ICOH-Occupational Health in the Chemical Industry) 50th anniversary award in 2023. These accolades are a testament to her dedication to exploring and establishing cooperative research in the risk assessment of occupational exposure to chemicals and health hazards.
Dr. Chaiklieng has a prolific publication record, with over 180 journal articles, and has presented at more than 100 international conferences. She is actively involved in various capacities, serving as a member of the scientific committees and board for ICOH's scientific committee on Occupational Toxicology and Musculoskeletal Disorders, as well as for MEDICHEM. Additionally, she plays a crucial role as the international affairs representative for Occupational Health and Safety at Work Association (OHSWA) in Thailand, a full member of APOSHO.
